The Eastside Neighbors Volunteer Program, inc (ENVP) is an Arizona non profit 501 (C) (3) corporation serving the east and southeast areas of Tucson. It is a member of “The Neighbors Care Alliance” under the direction of “Pima Counil on Aging” (PCOA)
ENVP is supported and funded by grants, donations and contributions by participating neighborhood organizations, faith communities, private businesses, foundations and individuals. All donations are tax deductable. Individual cash donations by Arizona residents qualify for an Arizona income tax credit of up to $200 per individual or $400 per couple.

Mission
Envp’s mission is to allow senior citizens to remain in their homes and live independently with dignity for as long as possible.
Services
Envp accomplishes its mission through a group of more than 100 trained volunteers offering the following services:
- Transportation to medical appointments and necessary grocery shopping
- Light housecleaning
- Running errands
- Minor home repairs
- Meal preparation
- Assistance with reading and writing
- Friendly visits and phone calls
- Light yard work
- Dog walking
Funding
Funding for support for ENVP presently consists of donations from faith communities, foundations, service clubs, individuals and neighborhood associations:

Staff
The Eastside Neighbors Volunteer Program has as its president Dave Hallstrom, pastor of Saguaro Butts Community Church and Stephanie Pershing as secretary. From an operational standpoint, ENVP is led by its board of directors which in 2011 is chaired by Dave Hallstrom (pastor of Saguaro Butts Community Church), and has representatives from the community. ENVP presently has 1 part-time staff member who is Ray Freeman, Program Director. Our telephone service desk is supported by seven part time volunteers. Service hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday (Except holidays).
