We’ve recently submitted a press release for distribution. Thank you to Rebecca Werner for making this happen in various news outlets.
Eastside Neighbors Volunteer Program logs 50,000 miles assisting seniors
More than 70 people recently gathered to recognize the Eastside Neighbors Volunteer Program (ENVP) volunteers who collectively achieved a milestone of donating over 50,000 miles since January 2013. ENVP volunteers have provided transportation services, errand running, housekeeping, yard work, and home maintenance to nearly 400 senior clients living in the greater East Tucson area.
“The services provided by the ENVP volunteers are priceless. Many of our clients have no family locally to support them as they age-in-place. As our elderly population continues to grow, more volunteers are needed to meet the demand,” stated Rebecca Werner, president of ENVP.
ENVP has almost 100 active volunteers and welcomes all Tucson residents to provide support by volunteering or donating. For more information visit www.tucsonenvp.com/volunteer or contact Jann Hicks, ENVP Program Coordinator, at 520-245-4729.
